Art in the Garden SUMMER 2010
Art in the Garden is a unique painting and drawing class for girls ages 6-16 taught in the beautiful Wyndmoor garden of award winning artist and teacher, LUCRETIA ROBBINS.
Assistants write, "We love seeing the beautiful art work that the girls have created. You have provided us with a love and appreciation for art which we will never forget and we enjoy seeing other girls develop a love for art within the garden."

Art in the Garden integrates three of the things Lucretia cares deeply about: children, nature, and art. Exploring the garden, students respond to organic forms, textures, and colors.

While receiving individual attention from their teacher, the girls translate their inspiration into self expressive works of art using a variety of mediums.

Classes are offered for two hours a day Monday thru Friday 10 am-12 noon.

* lemonade and cookie (frequently homemade!) break.

* student birthdays celebrated

* on rainy days class is held indoors in Lucretia's studio
* Lucretia mats the art so it is suitable for framing

* car pooling, sunscreen and mosquito repellent are encouraged!

Art in the Garden has been featured in the national publication "Gardening and Outdoor Living", the Chestnut Hill Local, and the Arcadia University Herald. References are available upon request.
